"Empathy is of paramount importance during user interviews. It's essential to delve deeper and genuinely seek to comprehend the user's challenges to obtain the most valuable insights. From PM1101E, the numerous frameworks and tools, such as PRFAQ and PRD, provide invaluable guidance and structure."

“I learned to widen the lens through which I look at both the problem and potential solutions, taking on multiple perspectives. The feedback sessions from our mentors Jason and Hazel was especially helpful for this. As they articulated their feedback I learnt about their thought processes as industry PMs which was truly inspiring."

Marketing and Digital Business (SMU)

"My main takeaway is the importance of listening to your users. Through multiple rounds of interviews, we discovered that our users had differing perspectives from our expectations, and we had to pivot multiple times to ensure that our platform aligned with what our users wanted. An example of this was us pivoting our platform from focusing on informal casual meetings to more formal group project meetings based on user feedback."
