It's been awhile since we've heard from our O'comm members. For the first round of our Members' Spotlight, the question I posed to them is - "If your life had a product MVP, what would it be and why?"
Have a read, and maybe, the products mentioned may be your next favourites too!
First and foremost, let's meet Darice from the Operations team, who swears by Canva as her ultimate must-have product! Here's her take on it:
"[My favourite product is]Canva! I was a design noob in my earlier schooling years and design was something I always dreaded! I had to navigate using Adobe PhotoShop to create simple IG posts/stories for my marketing internship and it was often so laggy. Then came Canva, which really changed the whole design scene. With quick to edit templates, creating marketing collaterals isn't so difficult anymore. Furthermore, it's all drag and drop of elements, which are easily searchable, unlike Photoshop which requires you to download stuff from the Internet. As some who does design work heavily, Canva takes the cake in making it so much easier".
I can't help but agree with Darice! Do you know that Canva now comes equipped with really useful AI tools? That's right, you can now find an AI Magic Studio within Canva itself! With just a few prompts, you can not only create but also transform and even summarise any form of content you want!

Next in the spotlight is Arissa from Publicity, and the product she can’t do without is TimeTree, a shared calendar app. Here’s what she has to share:
“One product that stands out as my product MVP is the TimeTree shared calendar app. This app not only grants me effortless access to my calendar but also enables me to view my friends’ schedules. Thus, it simplifies coordination and planning and helps me more efficiently manage my personal and student life. The thoughtful user interface and features, from colour coding to tagging and location settings, provide a visually intuitive framework to organise my daily routines, ensuring that I can understand and manage the plans myself and others at a glance and with ease."
On top of what Arissa has mentioned, a top feature that Timetree offers is the Calendar Chat! This allows for each event created to have their very own seperate chat room, making it alot easier to communicate and retrieve information regarding that event and that event only.

Last but not least, would be myself, also from the Publicity team. The product I hold dear to is Notion. Here's what I have to say about it:
Of course, when asked what's my favourite product, my answer will always be -Notion. Sure, the learning curve initially threw me off, and I know it does the same for many others. But, after some guidance from friends and tutorials on Youtube, I conquered it and now use Notion to plan my life away.
Notion has now become my digital diary, where I manage my to-do lists, jot down ideas, and keep track of project timelines and school assignment due dates. What I find most impressive is how effortlessly I can organize my thoughts and sync everything with apps like Apple or Google Calendar. This means I get those handy notifications well in advance before a test or assignment deadline.
Did you know you can have a a Studio Ghibli themed diary? The ability to customize my Notion page and make it my very own with all sorts of widgets of various themes is a game-changer. And with the recent addition of Notion AI, the whole experience has become even smoother for me. Well, it's safe to say Notion has become an integral part of my life. It should be for you too!

Despite her lack of exposure to product management, Izzati’s experiences in her Innovation and Design (iDP) minor had inspired her to join our club to learn more about PM as a whole. As an all-rounder who juggles her time as both a sportswoman in NUS Silat and as a major in Data Science & Analytics, she has leveraged her past experiences in NUS Muslim Society to assist in our Publicity Team’s content creation plans for our first semester. Moving forward, she will be in charge of producing blog articles for our new club website, ensuring constant engagement with our followers to learn more about product topics.
